Methodology & Approach

Understand the decision before you make it.

Decidaro turns complex choices into structured comparisons.

Different tools use different calculations, data and assumptions, but the general approach is simple.

Tell us what matters

A Decidaro tool may ask about factors such as your:

  • budget
  • expected usage
  • location
  • priorities
  • preferences
  • household requirements
  • time horizon

We try to ask only for information that helps improve the result.

We structure the decision

Decidaro identifies the factors that could materially affect the outcome.

Depending on the tool, these may include:

  • purchase price
  • financing
  • recurring costs
  • depreciation
  • fees
  • interest
  • rewards
  • operating costs
  • opportunity costs
  • other relevant factors

We compare the options

Decidaro tools may use:

  • mathematical calculations
  • publicly available information
  • manufacturer or provider information
  • market data
  • reasonable estimates and assumptions
  • Decidaro-developed scoring models
  • the preferences you provide

We explain the result

Where possible, Decidaro will show more than a single number.

A result may explain:

  • why one option performs better
  • where another option may be stronger
  • what assumptions were used
  • what could change the answer
  • estimated short-term or long-term costs
  • important limitations in the available information

A result described as “best”, “recommended”, “better fit” or similar applies to the criteria and assumptions used by that particular tool.

It does not mean the option is objectively best for every person.

Estimates and market coverage

Some results depend on estimates because future outcomes cannot be known with certainty.

Actual prices, rates, depreciation, maintenance, insurance, market values and other costs may differ from our estimates.

Decidaro may also not include every provider, product or option available in a market.

Always confirm important information directly with the relevant provider before making a significant financial or commercial decision.

Your decision remains yours

Decidaro provides information and decision support.

The final decision is yours.
