Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Decidaro uses or may use cookies, local storage, pixel tags, and similar technologies across our decision-support website, and how you can manage your preferences.
Decidaro is hosted on Firebase App Hosting / Google Cloud infrastructure. Our core decision-support tools and calculators are designed to be accessible without requiring an account. Where non-essential measurement, advertising, or attribution technologies are introduced, Decidaro implements granular consent controls to ensure that your privacy choices are respected.
2. Strictly necessary technologies
Category: Strictly Necessary
Strictly necessary technologies are essential for the operation of Decidaro. They enable core website routing, server load balancing, platform security, fraud prevention, service integrity, and the logging of user consent choices.
Where legally permitted by applicable ePrivacy and data protection laws, strictly necessary technologies may operate without prior optional user consent, because the platform cannot function securely and reliably without them.
Consent logging cookie: When CookieYes is enabled, it may set the strictly necessary cookie cookieyes-consent to remember and document consent choices across sessions so that your preferences are respected on subsequent visits.
3. Preference / functionality technologies
Category: Preferences / Functionality
When used or enabled, preference technologies allow Decidaro to remember user-selected configurations, such as your chosen regional market edition (for example, UAE or UK), display options, currency formats, or non-identifying calculator settings.
These technologies provide an enhanced, consistent user experience across visits without requiring you to re-select basic preferences every time you navigate the site.
4. Analytics and performance
Category: Analytics & Performance
Where enabled, analytics technologies help Decidaro evaluate platform traffic, determine which decision tools and comparison guides are most useful, diagnose technical errors, and optimize calculation speeds.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Where enabled, GA4 may use cookies and pseudonymous identifiers to compile aggregated statistical reports regarding visitor volume and user journey patterns. GA4 is configured to operate without sending unnecessary user-entered financial information, private personal identifiers, or confidential calculator inputs.
Non-essential analytics technologies execute only where permitted or where required consent has been granted through our consent controls.
5. Microsoft Clarity
Where enabled, Decidaro may use Microsoft Clarity to understand user experience and platform usability through aggregated heatmaps, scroll depth, and session playback or recordings.
Cookies and telemetry: Clarity uses cookies and similar interaction identifiers to capture how users navigate and interact with our decision modules, subject to your applicable consent settings.
Privacy masking: Input-box content is masked by Clarity by default, and Decidaro will implement additional sensitive-content masking where appropriate so that personal identifiers and sensitive user entries are not captured in session recordings.
Provider retention: According to Microsoft Clarity’s standard provider retention schedules, ordinary session playback data is generally retained for 30 days, while click and heatmap metrics and certain retained recordings may be preserved for up to 9 months.
Consent API: Where consent is required before behavioural recording or tracking technologies operate, Microsoft Clarity will be integrated with our consent manager via the Microsoft Clarity Consent API V2, ensuring that recording scripts execute only where permitted.
6. Advertising including Google AdSense
Category: Advertising
Advertising technologies are not active by default. Where advertising is approved and enabled in the future through Google AdSense or certified advertising networks, Google and third-party advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, impression measurement, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and, where permitted and consented to, ad personalisation.
Where required by applicable law, advertising cookies and personalised tracking will only be deployed after you have given affirmative consent through our consent management interface.
7. Affiliate and referral attribution
Category: Affiliate / Referral Attribution
Where commercial partnerships, affiliate networks, or referral relationships are introduced in the future, attribution technologies (such as referral query parameters, partner tracking cookies, or redirect tokens) may be used.
These technologies identify that a visitor navigated to a third-party partner’s website through a link on Decidaro, enabling partner conversion validation and commission accounting. Attribution technologies should not transmit unnecessary calculator inputs, scenario calculations, or sensitive personal financial data.
8. Consent management and CookieYes
Decidaro implements or intends to implement CookieYes as a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) to govern the deployment of cookies and tracking scripts where relevant to Google advertising and IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) requirements.
Google certification reflects technical compatibility with Google’s advertising ecosystem and IAB TCF specifications; it does not imply general legal, statutory, or regulatory certification or endorsement by government authorities.
Active cookie inventory: Rather than maintaining a static, permanent cookie table for third-party services whose cookie names and lifespans may change over time, the active, real-time cookie inventory and specific expiration schedules may be inspected and maintained directly through the consent-management system once implemented.
9. Google Consent Mode
Where Google services (such as GA4 or Google AdSense) are deployed, Decidaro integrates Google Consent Mode v2.
Google Consent Mode v2 dynamically communicates your consent status (including signals for analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization) from our consent banner to downstream Google tags. When consent is refused, Google tags adjust their behavior, suppressing the read and write of non-essential cookies.
10. Your choices and withdrawal of consent
Where applicable law requires consent before non-essential cookies or tracking technologies operate, Decidaro ensures that such technologies are blocked until you provide your explicit consent.
Withdrawing or modifying consent: Once our consent management platform is active, visitors will be able to reopen Cookie Preferences and change or withdraw their consent selections at any time using the on-site consent trigger or footer settings.
Withdrawing consent or choosing to reject non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using Decidaro’s free core calculations and comparisons.
11. Browser controls
Most modern web browsers allow you to manage cookie preferences directly through their settings. You can configure your browser to block third-party cookies, alert you before a cookie is placed, or delete cookies that have already been set.
Please note that blocking all cookies (including strictly necessary technologies) may impair website performance, prevent core calculation tools from rendering properly, or disable our ability to remember your privacy choices.
Once our consent-management system is active, Decidaro will honor supported browser-level opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where applicable and required by law.
12. Changes to this Policy
This Cookie Policy may be updated periodically to reflect improvements to Decidaro’s tools, changes in our hosting infrastructure, the activation of measurement or advertising services, or evolving international legal requirements.
Any updates will be published on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage visitors to check this page periodically to remain informed about our cookie practices.
